Dear MindMeister User,
We appreciate the new release has been a long time in the making - but it's here now! Last Saturday we've deployed a new version of our mind mapping tool, which we've boastingly dubbed MindMeister 2.0.
In this newsletter you will find information about a number of new features in MindMeister, some of which we know users have been eagerly waiting for. The release also brings with it many enhancements to the Team Edition of MindMeister. Finally, some fantastic internal news about MindMeister winning the Red Herring Europe 100 award, of which we're really proud!
Have fun reading,Our users often tell us that they like MindMeister because of its intuitive interface and overall simplicity. That's why we try to add only the most necessary features in new releases - and still, this time it turned out to be quite a long list ;-)
Oh, and don't fret if you can't find your pet feature below, in spite of all the talk about simplicity some more updates are coming soon!

We've also taken the liberty to update the MindMeister Team Edition with a few new features. We hope that our current team users will appreciate these and start uploading team logos right away!
Another new thing is that we've added a Test Drive for the team edition - subscribers get to test MindMeister for free for 30 days before they are charged. Of course, if they don't like it and cancel within the trial period, they don't get charged at all!
But now, without further ado, here are the new Team Edition features:

As you may have read on our blog we have recently been selected as finalists for the Red Herring Europe 100 Award. Well, now those nice guys at Red Herring actually voted MindMeister among the winners of the award! The award ceremony took place those last few days on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta and Till (the lucky sod) went there to collect the award for us.
Here's some more info by Red Herring themselves (our press release isn't out yet, that's why we can't link to it).
This one's a few weeks old already, but since we're just bragging about MindMeister awards .. ;-) - in early March we won the Innovation Award 2008 of the german SMB Initiative in the category Web 2.0! The jury selected MindMeister from over 1600 submitted tools and sites especially suited for use in small and medium businesses.
The prize is awarded to software tools especially suited for use in small and medium businesses. Read our blog post about it!
